The calculated values are concerning to steel no. 355 J2G3  = ST52-3.

ST
52-3 steel has a higher load bearing capacity than ST37-2 and reaches a higher load bearing capacity by simultaneous reduction of the weight.

If the roadway contains  constructive components  which are particularly sensitive to brake loads, the pressure which results from each wheel must be multiplied with the factor 1,4 (as  brake load).

the safety factor - up to the elastic limit =1,50.
the safety factor - up to the breaking point =2,05
The values for the distance between the two saddles are indicated in the table.

FOR EXAMPLE :

value 1 =wheel load

5000 / 7000

value 2 =wheel load including oscillation coefficient =1,4

 

value 1 =distance between the saddles
 (wheel load =5000[daN])

value 2 =distance between the saddles
 (wheel load =7000[daN])


PRE DETERMINED : wheel load =5000[daN] - LOADED area  (DIN1072) =200x400[mm] - distance between the saddles =480[mm]
Starting from the wheel load - we must bring together the values of the loaded area and the distance between the saddles. Then we can read the dimension of the supporting bar on the left side (60x5[mm]). Due to standard DIN1072, every loaded area is  related to a certain wheel load. The values for the distance between the saddles  are in red.
