Spenoid sealings - self sealing
for slotted tubes

Calculation of the crack :

Width of the slot - minus with of the glass sheet =total width of the slot

Width of the crack / divided by 2 =single side width of the crack

Please take into consideration : the sealing is pressable !


Contact pressure - and clamping of glass sheets :

The secure seat of the glass sheet dipends of the type (width) of sealing, the type of bond and the type of the insert between framing and glass sheet.

Extra-thick glass sheets :

For framing extra-thick glass sheets, we recomend wet vitrification with silicone and compression proof elastomer inlays.

Thin glass sheets :

For glass sheets with thickness between 1,5mm -up to 3mm - we recomend to use compensation profiles.

slot width =27mm
thickness of the glass sheet =21,52mm (10/1,52/10)

X = A-B             X = 27-21,52 [mm]            X = 5,48mm total width of the crack
5,48 / 2 [mm] =2,74 single side width of the crack - look to table IV : type KD 2-4 (3) double side
